In December 2019, the European Commission has established a new „Informal Expert Group on Company Law and Corporate Governance“. The group shall advise the Commission in developing policies related to corporate governance, artificial intelligence, sustainable companies, letter-box companies and other existing or new initiatives. The Commission appointed two representatives for Germany: Prof. Dr. Jessica Schmidt (Bayreuth) and und Prof. Dr. Christoph Teichmann (Wuerzburg). The full list of members will soon be published in the register of the Commission’s expert groups.

On September 27th 2019 the 13th ECFR Symposium took place in Krakow. Diverse lectures about current questions regarding the subject of European financial and company law were followed by interesting panel discussions.
