Conference on platform crime in the digital age

09/17/2021

On Friday and Saturday, 17 and 18 September 2021, the RobotLaw Research Unit will hold a conference on platform crime in the digital age.

The event focuses on criminal law, but also includes selected civil and public law dimensions of online platform crime. The main topics will be the phenomena of "fake news" and "hate speech" on the internet, the operation of criminal trading platforms on the internet and a potential tightening of platform liability under future law. In addition to criminal law presentations, platform crime will also be discussed from the perspective of constitutional and media law and - with regard to a possible tightening of the liability of platform operators - copyright and antitrust law.

Due to the applicable distance rules, 30 registrations can be accepted for the conference. Places will be allocated in the order in which registrations are received to: carsten.kusche(at)uni-wuerzburg.de. At the event, the applicable COVID rules, such as in particular the "3G rule" and the obligation to wear a mask, will be applied and compliance with them will be monitored.
