On Our Way to a European Arbitration? – Decision Making by International Arbitral Tribunals in the Context of the European Integration

The seminar on International Arbitration and European Union Law is co-organised by Prof. Maud Piers (University of Ghent), Jan K. Schäfer, Partner with  King & Spalding (Frankfurt), and Prof. Florian Bien (University of Würzburg). It brings together students from the two involved universities. The students will present and discuss current developments in the dynamic field of International Arbitration including the relevance of the ECHR to Arbitration, EU Competition Law as a matter of public policy, and International investment protection in intra-EU-cases according to the Energy Charter Treaty.
